Gift Certificates

The donation of gift certificates allows a mother the flexibility to make needed purchases for herself and her children. Clothing for school and work, school supplies, books and educational courses, fresh food, tableware or small appliances when moving into their new home. The following are examples of gift certificates that are most useful: Wal-Mart, Shoppers Drug Mart, Pen Centre, No Frills, Food Basics, Zehrs, Giant Tiger, Canadian Tire, Tim Hortons, Fairview Bowling Lanes, Swiss Chalet. For teens, consider gift certificates for Empire Theatre and HMV.

Women's and children's undergarments (underwear, undershirts, bras, socks etc. all sizes)

Children's shoes and winter boots (all sizes)

Curling irons, flat irons

Alarm clocks

Telephones (prefer caller ID)

Gillian's Place is extremely appreciative of all the donations we receive. If you require any other information, please don't hesitate to contact us. We would ask you to deliver your donations between 11am and 7pm. Please remember when you do deliver, we will be as prompt as we can to answer the door; however, there may be a delay if we are dealing with a crisis.

Used Donations

Unfortunately, we can no longer accept used donations as we do not have the capacity to store used items. We are extremely grateful for new donations received which you can find on the Wish List (see above).
