Giving creates a lasting impact
We continue to build the strength of our organization in collaborating with our existing long standing relationships; corporations, foundations, small businesses, associations, community organizations, individuals and recognize all levels of government.

Your continued gifts will support more abused women and their children to take those necessary first steps towards their journey to a safe and happier life. We offer our heartfelt thanks to all of our donors for their generous support ensuring the shelter facility and essential support services of Gillian’s Place. Together let us continue empowering abused women of Niagara.

Donor Hall of Fame

Gail Wardle and Didi Kaye Wilson from Nia Dancers of Niagara presented us with a cheque for $1,100 after their One Billion Rising dance-a-thon in Niagara-on-the-Lake. Nearly 100 people came together to rise up and raise funds for Gillian’s Place, as a part of the One Billion Rising campaign. One Billion Rising is a worldwide movement, mobilizing over one billion men and women in 207 countries to rise up against violence against women, on February 14th 2013 (www.onebillionrising.org). Gillian’s Place is honoured to be the recipient of funds raised through the efforts of so many people in our community that are taking a stand on the issue of violence against women. Thank you Nia Dancers of Niagara!

Chewbacca and Princess Leia visited the Pen Centre for photo opportunities with shoppers on December 22nd and December 23rd, this past holiday season. By collecting funds for their photos at the Pen Centre, as well as on Clifton Hill, they raised $1,400 for Gillian’s Place! Thank you to Heather and Chris for all your work!

On behalf of the thousands of women and their children who benefit from our support services, thank you for your commitment and generous support!
